Escrow
A neutral third-party service that holds a buyer's funds until domain, asset, and account transfer are confirmed complete on both sides.
Escrow is a neutral third-party arrangement used to protect both sides of a digital property transaction. The buyer's funds are held by the escrow service until the seller confirms transfer of the domain, hosting, analytics access, and any other included assets — and the buyer confirms everything was received as described.
We recommend using a reputable, purpose-built escrow provider for any acquisition rather than a direct wire transfer, particularly for domain-only or pre-revenue sales where there is little transaction history to fall back on.
